Rostov High-Pressure Hose, a Limited Liability Company (RHPH), was established on March 15, 2002 to manufacture and sell high-pressure hoses for agricultural machinery in the Russian Federation. The company manufactured high-pressure hoses under shop orders from small companies and enterprises during the first year of its operations; it has helped to gain experience and to create an image of a reliable manufacturer among both small and large industrial companies. Along with that, technological advances and the quality improvement have become an on-going process.

Since the year of 2003, the RHPH has had a close cooperation with Bison, a leader in sales of agricultural machinery and parts in Russia; Bison has purchased large batches of high-pressure hoses for further resale. Bison became an authorized RHPH dealer in the middle of 2004.

In July 2003, the RHPH entered into a supply contract to deliver its high-pressure hoses to the RostSelMash assembly line. In two years, the RHPH has become a major vendor (90 percent) of high-pressure hoses for this combine manufacturing plant. The RHPH has a close cooperation with the RostSelMash design department to improve combine hydraulic systems based on custom-made high-pressure hoses manufactured under RostSelMash shop orders.

Advanced equipment is used to make high-pressure hoses; it conforms to applicable European standards. Foreign-made raw materials are currently used to manufacture high-pressure hoses; it allows to minimize the defect rate during operation of agricultural machinery. The RHPH intends to make quality parts for high-pressure hoses in the future by itself. It keeps looking for new alternative part vendors to reduce the product cost, to improve its competitiveness on the market, and to improve the product quality.

The RHPH has several business priorities. The first priority is increasing the manufacturing capacities by purchasing new equipment and by using new parts for high-pressure hoses. The second priority is manufacturing of high-pressure hoses for the Russian motor-vehicle industry. A special attention will be paid to manufacturing of cars and trucks developed in cooperation with international leading manufacturers. Therefore, the RHPH will look for a partner to buy a license or to set up joint manufacturing facilities for high-pressure hoses. The third priority is penetration into the market of spare parts where the turnover is several times as large as the needs of "first-assembly" plants.
